Inherit the Wind

There are some wonderful speeches in movies.  Michael Douglas in An American President,  Charlie Chaplin in the Great Dictator, Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and Groucho Marx in Animal Crackers, Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird come to mind.   My feeling is the greatest speech in the movies is Spencer Tracy in Inherit the Wind.  This should be played in every school.

Oh For Shame!

You owe it to yourself to rent this film. It's about the "monkey trial." Tracy is magnificent.

I saw it on Broadway last year with Christopher Plummer and Brian Dennehy.

Oh, what a wonderful way to see it. Wow!

I will definitely rent or buy the film. It is worth it for this scene.
