President Obama

Those words flow!

Never in my life has a President excited me. This is the 11th President of my life.

Clinton was effective, but difficult to respect on a personal level.

Eisenhower, looks better as the years go on.

George H.W.Bush was a patriot, but ineffective President, partially because he was stuck with the Reagan legacy.

Reagan began the debacle that we are now caught up in. If it weren't for his deregulation the economy wouldn't be this bad.

Carter never belonged in the White House.

If Johnson had stuck to domestic policy, he'd be on Mt. Rushmore today. Instead, he's probably somewhere in hell.

George W. Bush was the worst President that this nation has ever and hopefully will ever see.

I respected, but disagreed with Ford.

We'll never know what Kennedy could have done.

I remember my dad saying in 1968, that Nixon was always a crook. Father knew best.

We now have a man with the ethics of ford and Carter. The Charisma of Reagan and Kennedy. The brains of Clinton. I only hope that the Republicans let him govern.

I think with the economy in the state it is in that the Republicans are being shown more and more for the selfish beings they are, and Obama will continue to shine as he leads us out of this unholy mess into which the Republicans placed us.

I was going back through journals last night. I am in November 2000, when Bush's cronies stole the election. To consider the damage done in these eight years is to feel our country has been at war, an internal war, an internal attack on freedom, honesty, ethics, care. I, too, am grateful to have President Obama at the helm.

This was a lovely post to wake up to, and it's nice to have a comparison by someone who knows what they're talking about. A customer at work, a woman in her 60s, told me that she has never seen a country so moved and motivated by a politician, even Kennedy. I think it's a good sign, no?
