Saturday (whoops) Sunday 9

stole this  fromvalknott  who took it from </a></b></a>1_rhiannon_1.

"Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!"  (I don't love memes, but this was interesting.)

1. Where had you moved from?

I moved from my parents house in Massapequa, NY.  Shortly thereafter my parent sold the house and moved to New York City.

2. Describe your first apartment.

A Mess!  It had a large living room, two bedrooms and one bath.  It was filled with "hand me down" funiture.  Many times there was a friend sleeping on the couch.

3. How old were you when you had your apartment? 23

4. Did you have roommates? If yes, tell us more.

A female friend of mine from High School and I shared the apartment.  Tha apartment was in Briarwood, Queens.  She moved out after two years so I posted an ad at St. John's Law School for a roommate.  I had just graduated from St. John's.  I got the wierdest guy for a roommate.

5. What was your place of employment then?

I clerked for a lawfirm, that no longer exists, in the Chrysler Building.   The job stunk,  but I still believe that the building is the most beautiful building in NYC.

6. How were your finances at the time?

I lived hand to mouth then and I still do.  Only now more gets in the mouth.

7. Tell us about a lover who spent a night there.

A friend of mine from Law School didn't want to make the long trip home.  I planned on sleeping on the couch.  she said it was unnecessary. I still occasionally speak to her.  She's happy.  I'm glad.

8. Tell us about a band you listened to then. (You can cheat. Look it up.)

I listened to the same music that I still listen to: The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Spingsteen,  Buddy Holly to name a few.

9. How long did you live there and why did you move from there?

I lived there for three years.  Then I moved to the ground floor of an awful 2 family home in Westbury, Long Island.  I moved to shorten my commute to work.  I lasted a year in Westbury and 10 more on the Island,  before returning to the city.
