Consider the Horse Hoof (Part 4)

To The Tune of Sunrise sunset

Is this the Neocon I carried?
Is this Libertarian at astray?

I don't remember turning Liberal
When did they?

When did she get to back Obama?
When did he read the New York Times?

Wasn't it yesterday
When they were slimes?

Right Wing, Left Wing
Right Wing, Left Wing
Remember Yesterdays
Goldwater gave us Ronald Reagan
George Bush never ceased to amaze

Right Wing, Left Wing
Right Wing, Left Wing
Progress is what I fear
Our seasons aren’t getting warmer
I’ll be the modern Paul Revere

Why don’t they listen to my Wisdom?
Don’t they know it’s on loan from God?

Now all must think the way that I say
Not like Chris Dodd

Why can’t they be more like Dick Cheney?

That’s the way that everyone should be

(Rush & Anne)
Let’s see that Sarah is the future, for you and me!

Right Wing, Left Wing
Right Wing, Left Wing
Let’s all lift our beers
Maybe she’ll run with Joe the Plumber
The thought brings cheer s.

Bravo. Standing ovation. You need to take this on the road, perhaps even Broadway. OK maybe a YouTube video. Now that would be awesome.

Not with me singing. It's getting there, with your help. I don't think that it is as good as the parody of The Wizard of Oz or West Side Story. But who knows, I never think about where it is headed until I get to the next song.

Oh no, you did this one ALL BY YOURSELF. I'm not going to take the BLAME.... errr I mean credit this time. Will read the other posts and give you my opinion. Don't forget, that the music from this show (albeit wonderful) does not flow as easily as the two shows you mentioned.

By the way, YouTube, yes I can see it now........

That's the problem that I'm having. In West Side Story, Sondheim just flows. This is great words, but needs the right Tevye. Mostel was perfect, because he could talk a song and make it sound like he was singing. What a great talent.

...Leonard Bernstein ain't too shabby either.

I've seen Fiddler (show) many times. Movie too. I did see Zero Mostel the first time I saw it. Can't recall who all the names of other's I saw. No one could touch him.

Last performance was a short run about two years ago, with Harvey Firestein as Tevye. He did remarkably well.....a different take on Tevye, and Rosie O'Donnell as Golda...not so good.

My point is, as you write, you are probably hearing Mostel in your head, I suppose that's as it should be. Just bear in mind though that other actors have done the part. So we will have to hold an audition for this performance.

By the way, have you ever seen the Japanese, Tevye...Fiddler on the Roof? It was floating around the Internet a few years ago.

I'm walking on 60th. Or Central Park S. As you out of towners call it. Bernstein was brilliant.

Just remember y'all. It takes two wings to make a bird. Although if you take away the right wing and keep the left wing, the bird might straighten up and fly right. Am i right? NO. Left. Always to the left.

I Have to stop drinking.

Good to have you as a friend wastingmythyme. And MS, of course.
