2008 A Year in Review

2008 was a year of turmoil and unpredictability. In March, New York Governor, Eliot Spitzer resigned office after being caught up in a sex scandal with a prostitute. Spitzer further shocked his constituents by announcing that he would be leaving his wife to move in with a woman simply known as Delicious. He said until he could get back on his feet, Delicious would continue in her present career, which he described as public relations.

The Democrats, who entered their convention in
Denver without any candidate with enough
delegates, settled upon compromise candidate
Amy Carter. Carter said that she alone was
prepared for the 3 AM telephone call,
because she
already had 4 years of
experience in the White House.

President elect The Right Reverend I. M. A.
Fony was the surprise candidate of a far
right splinter sect of the Republican party.
Unhappy with candidate, John McCain,

spokeswoman, Anne Vulture said that
this is our opportunity to rule, I mean

Fony announced that his first act as President would be to federalize the Connecticut national guard to help quell a potential uprising in neighboring New York State. The uprising began when Governor elect Rosie O'Donnell announced that New York would secede from the union if Fony was elected.

The rarely used Connecticut National guard will be wearing their traditional uniforms consisting of sweaters loosely draped around the shoulders and penny loafers without socks.

In response to Fony, O’Donnell said that she would mobilize the highly regarded Coney Island division of the New York National Guard. There is some question if the Coney Island division will be clad in their traditional uniforms of bikini bathing suits with stiletto heels.

For a time it appeared that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would run as fourth party candidates, but they could never agree who would head the ticket.

When asked for what he would do now, President George W. Bush simply said, "I’m going to Disney World."
