How did you like the Play, Mrs. Lincoln?

Yesterday on politicsforum there was a despicable post. It was a picture of Barack Obama with a Hitler mustache and hairdo. There was no writing besides the name of Adolph Hussein Obama.

I reacted with vitriol. Whatever anyone feels about any of these candidates, to compare them to Hitler shows an ignorance of history and a disrespect for an entire generation who died, suffered and fought the tyranny.

I'm sure the "how did you enjoy the play, Mrs Lincoln" jokes took many years to evolve, and were and should still, be thought of as in bad taste. I will always think that such "humor" is in bad taste, but in the minimum, so long as anyone alive knows or knew someone with a number on his or her arm, or who fought the war, or was alive at the time, I will say, without fear of contradiction, that it is bad taste.

My Dad is an octogenarian. He didn't fight in the war. At the end he was stationed in San Diego with the Navy. My family spent last night with him at the emergency room at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He's not ready to go and I'm not ready to give him up.

The ignorance of a post like the one described above, shows him a disrespect that I'm unwilling to accept.
