A Moment in History

There are seminal days throughout one’s life. Some are personal: Marriage or the birth of children. Some are tragic: The assassinations of John Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy. Some are magical: Man walks on the moon. Yesterday was one of those magical days.

I’m not naive enough to believe that this is the end of bigotry. It is a start. It seems to me that the younger generation doesn’t see color like my generation saw it. It’s about time.

Yes, I agree! Tears and chills. It is more affirming than I imagined it could be. It is a seminal day for sure.

I think that the important thing is, not that he's a black man, but that it didn't matter. He never made it an issue. The best person was chosen. A special man.

YES, absolutely!

"The best person was chosen. A special man."

Oh, the sky is just beginning to lighten with pink, and the moon was amazing last night. I love that the weather cooperates with Obama. It was a beautiful evening in Chicago last night, and here, too.
