Barack Obama makes me feel very good. He's confident, calm, modest and self-depricating.

It's great to be proud of our President (elect) again.

Yes!! We've been watching our neighbor's flag wave for years. All is silent now, no flag. The "great" GOP lost. Now, I'm thinking of getting a flag. :)

Unless it were a world flag.

I don't believe in flags and nationalism, and I do feel good about our new president.

We are the World!! Joy and Peace tonight!!

My Dad was a truly patriotic man. His disdain for GWB, never effected his love for the country. He would have been very proud watching President elect Obama. I smile for the President. I smile for my Dad.

I smile too. I feel my parents so close for this. It is a moment, a time, that transcends.

Great for your dad. I must admit to feeling some disillusionment with this country over the years, and tonight I feel proud that we have "come through."

the now
'Lo my favorite eyeball!

I've been working 2 full-time jobs 7 days a week (sounds like an attorney, eh?) for the last 2 weeks. Haven't turned on a computer for 16 days. Now back in this second life, the first site I go to is yours cause you're good crazy.

aaaaaaaaaahbama. Saw him close up in person in Roanoke, Va. Long cool drank. Handsome as a movstar.

Iwas awake in front of the box when va went to Obama. Then the networks called it. Then FL came onboard. Then McCain conceeded. Felt that, for the first time in 8 years, I could, finally, completely and deeply breathe freely. I, along with my Democrat friends, have had my jaw clenched with frustration over the Rpub repression. I feel like we've returned to the real rational world, and that, finally, the religious hysteria is over. The world is a new reality show and, maybe, we'll all be in camera center.

On the flag: I took mine down in December when I put up Christmas lights and forgot to put it up in January. She flies again this weekend in hope that this battered and bruised and barely bordered land called America can lead other damaged countries into a time of cooperation and quiet rebuilding.

We've hung separately. Now we can hang together.
